Natural Beverage Company is a new, family owned business specializing in soft drinks. It’s the brainchild of Leonard van Geest, one of the family that was behind the famous banana and fresh foods business.
Leonard’s experience in the food industry has been focused on fresh foods, and he knows that you simply can’t beat the flavour and goodness of foods grown naturally and harvested when fully ripe. It’s what man has been doing for thousands of years for himself, well before large companies started to commercialise food production.
The Natural Beverage Company aims to combine these traditional agricultural values with modern packing technology to ensure that all its products are 100% natural, delicious and healthy.
Much of Leonard’s working career has been spent with small growers, both in the UK and overseas. Many of these growers were brought together in the form of ‘grower groups’ or co-operatives to support each other and benefit from their improved organization. Now he is using that experience to provide a demand for growers in the Southern Hemisphere to grow Fairtrade fruits that can be used in Natural Beverage Company products.
